Voltea, Inc. has openings for the position of Systems Engineer which requires a U.S. Masters or foreign equivalent degree in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Duties: Minimize costs and increase overall system performance and reliability by checking quality on inbound parts used within the systems. Evaluate existing designs, products and propose ideas to the management which would cut cost during production and from the system as a whole. Analyze data collected from long term testing to calculate reliability and maintainability of the system and review product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability of finished product. Monitor the tools used in production and at field to check for calibration and measure tolerances on products to ensure accuracy. Touch bases with customers, suppliers and internal management with regards to purchase orders and keep both parties up to date to with status to ensure transparency. Development and management of systems that satisfy customer requirements considering engineering, technology, environmental, management, risk and economic factors by viewing the system during its life cycle. Create tools to quantify work done by each personnel, analyze cost and prepare standards for better use of manpower. Develop risk assessment tools such as the risk prioritization matrix and understand how risks can be mitigated which would further make the systems more robust by performing preventive maintenance rather than corrective maintenance. Create and review process flows with the help of lean six sigma that improve production time and facility workflow. Design, develop and improve Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) logic and Human Machine Interface (HMI) design for new and existing systems. Candidate should have taken courses in risk management, quality engineering, data acquisition, system integration and test, virtual instrumentation, reliability engineering, process instrumentation and controls and systems Engineering.

Full-Time: 40 hrs./week. M-F.
