Successful CapDi introduction at SIWW 2010 (07 - 2010)

Voltea successfully showcased its revolutionary water desalination technology at the Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) held from June 28th to July 2nd

Voltea presented its innovative desalination technology called Capacitive Deionisation (CapDi) at the Netherlands Water Pavilion. The Pavilion presented all the new and relevant innovative developments from the Dutch Water Sector. Voltea launches its first Standard Industrial System (03 - 2010)

This April Voltea finished its design of its first standardised industrial system. The first commercial system rolled of the production line at the beginning of May.

The SIS-12 produces a flow rate of 5 to 10 cubic metres per hour and is capable of treating water for a range of commercial and industrial applications. The system is set up so that multiple systems can be combined to produce larger flows if required whilst still being controlled by one PLC (programmable logic controller).

Key features of the design include:

Modular design: single system can be outfitted for multiple flow rates and conditions
Easy access: modules and electronics are easily accessible
State of the art power boards: Custom designed and patented power boards allow for energy efficient control and have an energy recovery feature
PLC control: allows the user to set parameters such as flow rate, conductivity of produced water, operating parameters etc.

Systems to follow are SIS-2, SIS-6 and SIS-24 which will be able to produce, depending on salt levels, 1 m3/h, 5 m3/h and 20 m3/h respectively.
