Michiel Lensink - CEO
Michiel has led water technology start-ups for more than a decade. He founded Filtrix, was the Managing Director of Norit Filtrix, and developed a new range of decentralized water filtration systems based on membrane technology.
He has a Masters Degree in Physics from Delft University of Technology and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Jonathan Hodes - CFO
Jonathan has more than 15 years of experience in finance, with expertise in strategic business development, financial management and venture capital. He played a major role in guiding the growth of several start-up technology companies, was the CFO of NetEconomy, and recently completed the multi-million Euro sale to FiServ.
Bert van der Wal - R&D Director
Bert co-founded the company, and has been involved in developing Voltea’s technology since 2004. Previously he worked as R&D Project Leader for Unilever, and has published 14 papers in leading scientific journals and filed 20 patents. He has PhDs in Physical Chemistry and Microbiology from the University of Wageningen.
Hank Reinhoudt - Product Development and Applications Director
Hank co-founded the company after recognising the potential of Voltea’s technology. Prior to 2006, he worked in various research capacities at Unilever. He has published 12 papers in leading scientific journals and filed nine patents. He has a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Delft University of Technology.
Maarten van Raemdonck - Sales Director
Maarten has more than 20 years experience in the water industry in various sales and marketing roles. Before joining Voltea in April 2010 he was Global Sales Director EMEA at Ashland Hercules Water Technologies. Maarten has a Master in Chemistry/Biochemistry.
Sheila Metherell - Operations Director
Sheila is an expert in Operations and Supply Chain Management having run facilities in the UK, USA, and the Netherlands, including setting up two Greenfield sites. Her experience has been gained in leading operational improvements in the Aerospace, and Industrial manufacturing sectors. She has a Masters from Warwick Business School and is a Chartered Engineer.
