Dean Spatz - Chairman

Dean is the founder, former Chairman and CEO of Osmonics Inc. that was acquired by GE in 2003. He has an extensive and established track record in the water treatment industry. Dean is a registered Professional Chemical Engineer and is highly active in the water industry. He is an investor and board member of private high technology and environmentally oriented companies.

Allerd Stikker – Emeritus board member

Allerd served on the executive board of AKZO, was CEO of RSV, and was a non-executive board member of AMRO Bank, Heineken and Rothmans International. He founded the Ecological Management Foundation in 1990 to focus on sustainability in business, and has written several books on ecological issues. Allerd is one of the founding investors of Voltea.

Philip Rolchigo - Pentair

VP of Water Technologies at Pentair, Philip previously led the Global Separation Technologies department at General Electric, was Chief Technology Officer at water purification manufacturer Osmonics, and helped develop leading membrane and filtration technologies as VP of R&D for Membrex.

Marc Andelman

The inventor of the Flow Through Capacitor, the basis for Voltea’s technology, Marc founded water technology firm Biosource and was president for almost a decade.

Mark Muth - Unilever Ventures

Mark is one of the three directors of Unilever Ventures, the venture capital arm of Unilever. He has worked in banking and private equity for 25 years and has been a director of Voltea since its creation in 2006.

Lisa Smith - Unilever Ventures

An operations redesign specialist, Lisa has built Unilever factories in South Africa, and worked for McKinsey in North America and Europe. She is a chartered engineer with an MBA from Harvard Business School and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. She is an investment director with Unilever Ventures.

Koen van Engelen - Rabo Ventures

Koen has fifteen years of experience in the venture capital and private equity industry. He worked for NIB Capital (now Alpinvest) before joining Rabo ten years ago. He is currently a director with Rabo Ventures.
