Voltea is searching for a Production Engineer in LEIDEN, The Netherlands

The availability of clean water is an issue of global importance with demand for clean water and desalination expected to soar. Voltea has developed a new way to desalinate water for industrial and domestic purposes. Our technology provides a solution with low energy use, high water recovery and does not require any chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Designing, setting up and managing Voltea´s component production processes;
• Setting up and facilitating production at third parties;
• Supporting component and product design from a manufacturing point of view;

Qualifications and experience

We are looking for a candidate with experience (minimal 5 years) in designing, commissioning and operating manufacturing and assembly processes. At the same time the candidate should be practical and hands on. Biosource Inc made a breakthrough in 2000. By placing ion exchange membranes in front of the carbon electrodes, desalination performance was significantly improved.

• A relevant degree (Bsc or Master in Mechanical Engineering);
• A good network of manufacturing, equipment and supply chain partners;
• Problem solver, being particularly strong on technical common sense;
• The candidate is energetic, enthusiastic and has excellent interpersonal skills, building bridges between various disciplines, adaptable, assertive and calm;
• The candidate is result driven and has a focus on quality;
