Michiel Lensink - CEO
An industry veteran, Michiel has 13 years experience leading water technology start ups. Founder of Filtrix. Later Managing Director of Norit Filtrix. He developed a new range of decentralised water filtration systems based on membrane technology.
Michiel has an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management. He also has a Masters Degree in Physics from Delft University of Technology. |

Jonathan Hodes - CFO
From the start up phase to managing the exit, Jonathan knows how to guide the growth of a start up. An experienced CFO, his expertise includes: strategic business development, financial management and venture capital.
Jonathan played a major role in the growth of several technology companies.
He was CFO of NetEconomy and recently completed the multi million euro sale of the company to FiServ.

Bert van der Wal - Director, R&D
Taking an academic idea and turning it into a promising technology. That was one of Bert’s responsibilities as R & D Project Leader for Unilever. Bert is co-founder of the company. Since 2005, he has been involved in developing the Voltea technology.
Bert has written 14 papers in leading scientific journals and has filed 11 patents. He has PhD’s in Physical Chemistry and Microbiology from the University of Wageningen. |

Hank Reinhoudt - Director, Product Development and Operations
Hank enjoys bringing an idea with potential from the lab to marketplace. Subjects like sustainability and the complexity of the industry make it even more interesting.
While working in various research capacities at Unilever, he was one of the first to recognise the massive potential of our technology. In 2006, Hank co-founded Voltea. He has written 12 papers in respected scientific journals and has filed 9 patents. He has a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Delft University of Technology. |
